Biography
Dr. Putu Sutisna was graduated as a medical doctor (MD) from Udayana University Faculty of Medicine in Bali in 1972. In 1975 he attended the DTM&H training program at Mahidol University School of Tropical Medicine, Bangkok, Thailand. Since 1988 to 2002 he had been appointed head of the Department of Parasitology, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. In 2002 he was appointed a professor of Medical Parasitology at the same University until his retirement in 2009. From 2009 to present he was assigned to the Faculty of Medicinea University of Warmadewa in Denpasar where he is currently the head and professor of the Department of Parasitology. His main research interests include human infections of soil-transmitted helminths and taeniasis/cysticercosis.
